Finn Juhl Tray Torben Ørskov Denmark 1950s

Rare serving tray designed by Finn Juhl in 1953 for Torben Ørskov, hand-crafted in Denmark in the 1950s. Made of a thin metal sheet with cut out handles wrapped in cane. This metal & cane series was consisting of a tray and a waste basket, although Finn Juhl is often mentioned to be the designer of the waste basket, it was actually designed by Grethe Kornerup Bang. Torben Ørskov asked Finn Juhl to design a matching tray. The tray is no longer in production while the waste basket is still being produced today.
