Carl Auböck Bottle Opener Brass Hand 50s

Bottle opener No. 4224 designed by Carl Auböck in 1949, made of solid brass. Marked "Made in Austria".  This object is documented in the book "The Workshop by Clemens Kois" and commented by Carl Auböck IV as one of the most significant of the Auböck icons, as a universal hand, an ageless hand, a positive hand. He says it is a hand that possibly warns against something or simply points something out.
