Illums Bolighus Paper Waste Basket Leather Brass Denmark 1950s

Rare paper basket in thick, stitched leather witz a solid brass handle, designed  by Illums Bolighus in Copenhagen, made in Denmark in the 1950s to early 1960s.
These paper waste baskets are usually attributed to Carl Auböck, however there is no known collaboration between Illums Bolighus and the Werkstätte Auböck in Vienna. We can only assume, the design was inspired by the Auböck workshop.

Good vintage condition with patina to leather and brass, some scratches here and there, slightly out of shape, see photos.
