This rare bird sculpture by Danish designer and maker Jacob Hermann was hand crafted in Denmark in the 1950s. Legs are made of brass, marked underneath with the creators stamp and "Denmark".
Jacob Hermann was originally trained as a cabinetmaker and later studied at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Copenhagen to become an artist. The unique wooden birds as a sculptural masterpiece create a connection between art and craftsmanship.
